The team behind the long running Midsomer Murders franchise, who in 2014 founded Chrysalis Vision, has received a significant investment from Sky plc (“Sky”), with the legal advice being provided by Moore Blatch.
Chris Wright, the founder of Chrysalis, set up Chrysalis Vision in 2014 alongside Luke Johnson, the former Channel 4 chairman, and media veteran Roger Parry.
Led by CEO Mick Pilsworth, the Chrysalis Vision team has over 20 drama projects in development, and ongoing discussions with the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky.
Mick Pilsworth, CEO, of Chrysalis Vision, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Sky as a shareholder in the business and this new investment gives our team the resources and contacts to produce the high quality television shows that our team is famous for. The process was extremely easy thanks to the advice and support afforded by Jeremy Over and his team at Moore Blatch.”
Jeremy Over, partner, Moore Blatch solicitors, said: “It’s genuinely rewarding to complete a transaction where the people involved are passionate and have a clear vision of the ultimate goal. It was a pleasure working with Mick Pilsworth and the rest of the Chrysalis team and I’m looking forward to my Sunday night viewing in the future.”
