Moore Blatch solicitor awarded highest accreditation in agricultural law

Philip Whitcomb, a senior solicitor in wills, tax and trusts at Moore Blatch has been awarded fellowship status by the Agricultural Law Association, one of only 127 across the UK. This is the highest qualification of the UK’s leading independent organisation devoted to the law of business of the countryside.

The accreditation requires demonstration of expertise across all legal and other issues which affect farmers and landed estate owners, including farming business structures, trusts, taxation, land law, agricultural holdings, town and country planning and the Common Agricultural Policy.

Philip joins Ed Whittington, a specialist property lawyer and partner at Moore Blatch who was awarded the Fellowship in 2016.

David Thompson, managing partner, Moore Blatch said: “Having two of our solicitors accredited by the Agricultural Law Association confirms our position as one of the South of England’s leading legal services firms specialising in agricultural law. I would like to personally congratulate Philip, and I’m sure his clients would too,  for his dedication to this specialised and demanding sector of the law.”
