Moore Blatch nominated for three Law Society Excellence awards

In a year that saw a record number of entries, law firm Moore Blatch has been nominated for three awards in this year’s prestigious Law Society Excellence Awards.

Leading catastrophic injury lawyer, Damian Horan, and head of the Court of Protection team, Fiona Heald are both nominated for Solicitor of the Year. Moore Blatch was the only law firm to receive two nominations in a category that recognises those who have made an outstanding contribution in private practice.

Damian, who specialises in spinal cord injuries, severe head injuries and fatalities, has played a pioneering role in establishing charity partnerships including founding Aspire Law, a joint venture between spinal injury charity, Aspire, and Moore Blatch.

Fiona Heald is renowned for championing the rights of the elderly by ensuring those looking after and caring for the elderly do so in their best interests as well as by holding government organisations to account, helping to give the elderly a voice.

In addition, the Moore Blatch Major Trauma service is nominated for the Excellence in Client Service Award which celebrates commitment and service in client care. One of the only major trauma teams in the UK to provide comprehensive legal support, the team is renowned for its work on some of the UK’s most high-profile cases, including multi-million pound claims.

David Thompson, managing partner, Moore Blatch, said; “To receive three nominations is an achievement indeed, and a reflection of our mission to consistently go the extra mile, putting our clients at the heart of all we do.”

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 19 October 2017 at Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London.
