Severe brain injury sustained by 7 year old child following road traffic accident

Our client was involved in a road traffic accident when he was seven years of age. He was ejected from the vehicle and as a result sustained a severe traumatic brain injury.

Moore Blatch quickly secured an admission of liability.

As a result of his brain injury our client is managing with a variety of symptoms which affect his day to day life including his future career prospects and his ability to live independently.

We instructed a case manager from the outset of the case and to date our client is assisted by a support worker. When our client was at school and college the support worker attended with him and she continues to provide invaluable support now that he has found employment.

Both the case manager and support worker not only support our client but the family as a whole.
As our client lacks capacity and we act for him through his mother and litigation friend. We shall make an Application to the Court of Protection for the appointment of Deputies to manage our client’s compensation.

We have instructed numerous leading medical experts including a Consultant Neuropsychologist, a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist, a Consultant Psychologist, a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist, a Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation, a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and a Consultant Neurologist.

We have also instructed a care expert and a speech and language expert.
