Serious orthopaedic injuries following road traffic accident

Our client sustained significant orthopaedic injuries following a road traffic accident. The Defendant drove into our client as he attempted to cross the road.

We made contact with numerous people who had witnessed the accident and liability was agreed on a 75/25 basis in favour of our client.

Our client’s injuries included a right tibial fracture, a significant fracture of the second lumbar vertebra, scarring and psychiatric symptoms. Our client required surgery to repair his tibial fracture and following surgery he was fitted with a leg brace. He then commenced a course of physiotherapy.

We instructed a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Consultant Psychiatrist to examine our client.

As a result of his injuries our client required a significant amount of care as he was unable to weight bear.

Our client received £95,000.00 in damages prior to trial.
