Divorce settlement involving fixed term maintenance order
We acted for a financially successful husband who was being divorced by his wife, homekeeper and mother of their two children. Our client wanted to limit his exposure to his wife's maintenance requirements by avoiding an open-ended, indefinite settlement. We negotiated a shared care arrangement for the children, with almost equal contact time and a fixed term maintenance order. Our client was also able to retain the family matrimonial home and various foreign investments.
