Client receives £65,000 for slipping over in prison

Our client, an adult education officer in a prison, slipped over at work due to food stuff left on the floor.

The client sustained quite a serious knee injury which subsequently led to a number of operations.

Liability was denied by the Ministry of Justice for several years and the matter was listed for trial in October 2010.

The case settled three weeks before trial and the client received £65,000.00, with a discount to reflect the litigation risk, and also the fact that she had a long history of knee problems which may have manifested themselves in any event.
