Catastrophic brain and amputation injury suffered by husband and wife

Moore Blatch acted for a husband and wife who both sustained catastrophic injuries in a road traffic accident.

Moore Blatch were able to secure liability in their favour. The Defendant had lost control of his vehicle on a bend and ploughed head on into our clients’ lawfully proceeding vehicle.
The wife sustained significant abdominal injuries requiring extensive surgery to her bowel. In addition she had to undergo an amputation of her right leg. Her husband sustained a significant brain injury and serious orthopaedic injuries.

Proceedings were issued in the High Court in London. The impact of the accident had a devastating impact on their lives, made all the more difficult by the fact both were injured. Moore Blatch secured a range of medical reports from leading medical and non medical experts and successfully negotiated a substantial out of court settlement for both clients who were keen to get on with their lives.
